C.A.R.R.I.E.’s Station

Unreal Engine Game


C.A.R.R.I.E.’s Station is a short game I created at Ringling PreCollege 2019 for a game design course. It follows a rogue space explorer after they find themselves trapped in an abandoned research station by a corrupted AI. This is only a demo, acting as a proof of concept for my ideas. I’m very proud of how I was able to execute my lofty level and narrative design goals.


C.A.R.R.I.E.’s Station was developed in UE4. The character model/rigging, checkpoint flags, and coin pickups were assets provided by the class. The rest of the programming, design, and modeling was done by myself.

MIGHTY!

Card Game

MIGHTY! is an original card game I created during fall 2020 for my Game Design Workshop class. As the project lead, I worked with classmates Melody Guo, Leo Chiu, and Michael Lu to produce a fast paced PVP game inspired by childlike imagination. Due to remote learning, MIGHTY! was made in Tabletop Simulator, and you can find its Steam Workshop page here.

Loyal Knight

Twine Interactive Story


Loyal Knight is the final project from my Ringling PreCollege class. It's a 6,500 word, 52 passage Twine story that follows a morally lost royal soldier. In total, it took about a week to design and write the game.

Class of 21XX

Unity Game


Class of 21XX is a small game I helped make at USC Summer’s Intro to Game Design course in 2018. It features four protagonists as they attempt to save their futuristic school in time for graduation. I was the team leader and a designer, and I worked with classmates Remy Streichenberger, Delaney Tobin, and Aidan Roberts.


Class of 21XX was developed in Unity over the course of two weeks.

Space Invaders

Video Game


This was the first game I ever built (using GameMaker Studio 2). The assignment at USC Summer was to recreate a retro arcade game.


I went with Space Invaders, and it turned out to be the perfect challenge for a first time designer like me. I’m quite proud of how the game functions from a design/programming standpoint, and of course I had to make it galaxy themed (because, aesthetic - you know?)

Magic Blast

In the summer of 2019, I was able to make a looping gif in Photoshop. This project also served as an introductory to SFX animation with the usage of motion paths.

Planetary (GO!)

An abstract visual representation of the song “Planetary (GO!)” by My Chemical Romance made in Photoshop.

2D and 3D Art

I also enjoy more traditional art forms. I love 3D sculpture and design, especially multimedia projects.

Bookbinding

I have been creating series of handmade notebooks and journals using a variety of stitching and binding techniques.
